Hi,

 

There is nothing much difference between the webi report and bw report. You can do pretty much the same calculation and stuffs more into BEx query compared to webi.

 

I would suggested you to go with "Query browser" connection where you can able to connect the query directly to the dashboard, when it comes to performance its much better compared to other connections.

 

Only pain point of using query browser you cannot your report as cross tab, where you can design or incorporate the report into the spreadsheet in horizontal or vertical. Apart from this if you still interested in using the webi between the dashboard and Bex query, I would you to go through the below links which can provide you some better clarifications on this.

Also, do you know if there is now a way to publish a Dashboard in BusinessObject Platform if the Dashboard use a direct connection to BW?

 

If you are going to use SAP BW Netweaver connection then you can publish the dashboard only in portal, using query browser you can publish it to BOE server.

Error when adding a Canadian tax exempt item to expense report

Hi,

 

I'm wondering if anyone else encountered the following error when trying to setup a tax exempt expense type for Canadian company code.  The error occurs when I try to add the expense type to the report.  Note that the same expense type setting works fine for a US company code.  I have opened a ticket with SAP but any insights anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.

I checked my spool file and it has 3 pages.  When i print this spool file to our Xerox printer it prints front and back on 1st page and front of page 2 which is what I want.  But if I print this same spool file to our HP printer it print front on page 1 then prints front and back on page 2.  I do not want page 1 back to be blank.  I checked SPAD for both printers and set up exactly the same.

Open ODBC Admin located in \system32 folder and create your DSN in 64 bit mode also then it should work.

No Harish we are not using dymamic configuration in mapping. We are setting file name in SFTP adapter in modules.

Yes, the issue was fixed when the DBA gave the service account admin access to the schema. The documentation is not clear as to what the specific access the service account needs, so he gave it all.

Operadores de Comparacion > y < en Hana?

Contexto:


Actualmente tengo unos querys dentro de nodos en archivos XML, debido a esto no puedo usar el operador de comparación regular ( > ) O ( < ) porque interferiría con la sintaxis del XML <>.

 

por ejemplo

 

<Query ID="algun_query>          Select date from Dummy         if (sysdate &gt; date )              // ... alguna otra sentencia          <\Query>

 

 

Pregunta:

 

Es posible usar el operador de comparación para este caso " Mayor que" de la manera en que se escribió en la linea 05 del ejemplo ( &gt; )  en Hana ??

Is it a bug?

I recently got the same problem. I use the following pseudo code to send an array of data records to one database:

 

 

...
var myDataRecords = [...];                  // array with data records
var myInsertQuery = 'INSET INTO ...';
prepSt = conn.prepareStatement(myInsertQuery);
if (myDataRecords.length > 0){     prepSt.setBatchSize(myDataRecords.length);     for(var i = 0; i < myDataRecords.length; i++){          prepSt.setInt(1, myDataRecords[i].dataField_1);          prepSt.setString(2, myDataRecords[i].dataField_2);          ...          prepSt.setString(n, myDataRecords[i].dataField_n);          prepSt.addBatch();     }     prepSt.executeBatch();     
}
prepSt.close();
...

It works fine but if the data record array has only one record this code trows exception at addBatch():

"PreparedStatement.addBatch: bulk insert not enabled".

Is a batching with a batch size = 1 a special case?  The special cases make a code ugly. .

Please tell me that I am wrong.

HTML View using an iView dynamically

Hello Visual Composer experts,

 

I want to use a SAP Enterprise Portal iView in a VC Model.

For that I use VC HTML View.

In the URL I put SAP EP IView reference, for instance :

http://<xxx>:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fevery_user!2fgeneral!2fcom.sap.portal.afpFavorites

 

<xxx> stands for development portal.

 

When I transport my VC model to quality portal I need to manually replace <xxx> by <yyy>.

 

How can I avoid this ? How can I dynamically address the portal ?

 

I found something about using "portal:" that will replace http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/  but did not succeed to make it works.

 

In the VC HTML view I tried to used "pcd" instead of "http" but again did not make it.

 

Can someone give me a clue ?

Thank you for your reply.

 

Giving SP02 would mean that the user ID used to execute the payment run in F110 should also be used in accessing SP02 to print the checks.

 

However, this can't be an option since the one who will execute the payment run has a different role from the one who will print the checks. Sharing of IDs might not be advisable due to security.

RSHTTPPIN - Capture connection test output

Hi Folks,

 

      My requirement is to Capture the connection test output of "HTTP Connections to External Server" in SM59.

From the below screenshot I have to pass the "Detail" and "Value" information to my internal table.

I tried with the SUBMIT RSHTTPPIN  EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY AND RETURN but it is showing error as "Error in Control Framework" ,this error may be occured because of the output is in ALV form.
