Hi,

   1. You may check the concept of Transportation Management to incorporate the requirement. Through TM, you can create shipment and shipment cost documents using inbound delivery before GR. Once you transfer the shipment cost, system can create automatic PO and Service entry sheet. The cost can be posted to separate GL here. Once the GR is done, the shipment cost can be loaded to material cost as explained in the note:  427944 - Info: Shipment costs as delivery costs during goods receipt

   2. Please check whether substitution rule in GGB1 can full fill your requirement. (I am not sure about it, please check with your FI team)

   3. Please check LECI transaction.

Hi, you need to configure like this way

 

1.Execute TransactionGRAC_REP_OBJ_SYNC

2.Select a variant (optional) and click Execute.

3.Select Sync Job to execute: Profile/Role/User.

4.Enter the system connector ID to execute the User Master Data synchronization.

5.Enter the connector language.


set the job as schedule or check using run immediate mode.

Hi Swathi,

 

of course it is possible to have dynamaic graphics, but it is not recommended at all. The easiest and best solution is to switch to Adobe Forms.

In case this isn't possible you can do it via resizing or via the old SO10-Images.

Is there any specific Basis activity we need to perform?

You just need to get the upgrade guide and do the preparations for the upgrade. Check PAM for the supported OS and DB for the target version. If the present system is a dual-stack then you need to split the stack before you start the upgrade. Create stack file using MOPZ.

Sorry for the delayed response, issue got resolved, the problem was with validity. User has tweaked the calendar, so items were failing based on validity.

Exactly, do you see the additional effort required to duplicate the job definitions?

Also

  1. You create a job definition for Dev system, then you duplicate and create a new one for QAS and you run it during testing cycles. Now which of these two would you promote to production?
  2. If you have named the job definition itself to contain DEV or QAS SIDs, you can't change that when you import into production. So will you create one more for production or rename the job definition in production? Is changing something in production directly, a best practice?
  3. It is best practice to make sure the file path for file events are same and consistent across the landscapes, so SIDs should be avoided in the file path.
    1. /usr/sap/inputfile/ - best practice
    2. /usr/sap/DEV/inputfile - not best practice. you can use import rule to change it though.
    3. Either way, in the above case, i have only one file event create in DEV CPS, which i'm going to migrate to QAS(change file path if need be through import rule) then test it and then migrate it to PRD in same way.
    4. If i have a file event created for DEV, say DEV_FILE_EVENT and QAS_FILE_EVENT in the same non-prod CPS, which one will i migrate to PRD? so in PRD, will you rename the file event again?
    5. Changing the file path is OK, because it is still the same object, but changing the File_Event object itself means you creating a new object by renaming it to a new one.

Hi Ravi,

 

We have save the documents in OpenText along with the DIRs simultaneously. we have standard LSMW object to create DIR and store the originals in OpenText.

 

We cannot upload the documents in Opentext in isolation and link them to DIR later.

Hi Amit,

 

You can explore the option of using Generic Object Services to store the originals.

 

There will be no additional step of creation of DIRs if you attach documents via GOS.

Hi Upendar,

 

Press F1 on "Switch on" field and read documentation. It says:

 

"If you enter a date that neither falls in the posting period nor matches the current date, the system checks all fiscal year variants of the ledgers. If the fiscal year variants differ, the program is terminated. For more information, see the log."

 

According this documentation, you can't run because the system does this check between date posting and fiscal year variant. If it is not equal, this tun is not possible.

Neha,

 

Here are answers for some of your questions.

 

1. Copying the certificate is required unless you obtain and import a certificate from a trusted third party like VeriSign or similar.  In that case the clients most likely already have the necessary certificates installed by default so you wouldn't need to copy anything over.

 

2. The data is stored encrypted only if you have selected that option in the editor.  The data is always SSL encrypted during transmit between the Agentry client and the SMP3.0 server.

 

3. For data destruction you can set the number of invalid login attempts in the editor on that same screen you posted and define the lockout level to indicate how the client should respond when the number of invalid login attempts occurs.  (Critical will clear the client)

 

4. Not sure what you mean by this one yes setting the lockout and timeouts in the editor will cause the clients to perform those behaviors as indicated.

Hi Thomas.

Yes, that would help, but I had thought in casual scenarios.

For example, normally, I have to do the access to the system in Spanish (ES).

But, by default, ABAP projects are created in English (EN).

If I'm despite and don't change En to ES. I can not change anymore the language.

I have to delete and create a new ABAP project.

I do not think it necessary to copy an entire project just to change one parameter like the client or the language.

I think it would be a good feature than, we can change the client and language fields  in Properties -> Abap Development

Or, if i need to connect with other client only one time, an option "Connect as ..." from the context menu, something like:

Sto. Loc. level GATP check with Storage location exclusion indicator

Hello Team,

 

Need expert opinion on below issues.

 

When Storage exclusion Indicator is set in MM02-MRP4 view & storage location ATP check is active, ATP check in ECC and APO are behaving different.

In ECC, When you check this indicator - stock in the storage location is excluded from MRP and ATP check. When  (no storage location is specified in sales order) in ECC. When you specify storage location in sales order, stock in storage location is considered to give confirmation. Same does not happen in case of GATP check.

 

GATP does not exclude the storage location stock for the indicator set, automatically, We need to implement user exit for excluding stock from GATP by deleting in CIF or changing the ATP category.

I have created ZC category for such stocks and it is not part of scope of check. When excluded storage location is not mentioned, it works fine, when excluded storage location is mentioned in sales order, it does not give confirmation. As all stock has been moved to ZC category which is not part of scope of check.

 

Ex :

MAT1 - in Plant P1-SL1 = 5 

            in Plant P1-SL2 = 10

            in Plant P1-SL3 = 8 - Indicator set

 

in ECC

Sales ord - MAT1 PL1 = Confirmation is for 15

Sales ord - MAT1 PL1 - SL1 = Confirmation is for 5

Sales ord - MAT1 PL1 - SL3 = Confirmation is for 8

 

in APO-GATP

Sales ord - MAT1 PL1 = Confirmation is for 15

Sales ord - MAT1 PL1 - SL1 = Confirmation is for 5

Sales ord - MAT1 PL1 - SL3 = Confirmation is for 0 ( that is the difference)

 

All ideas are welcome to get similar results!!

This seems to be the issue-the materials had a backdated validity date in CC13 that was causing the issue.

1) My apologies, since I don't typically run production mode I didn't realize the bundled Agentry.ini had the obsolete key references still in it.  Hopefully this will be corrected for 6.2.

 

2) You are correct that the installer provides the production mode files for Work Manager.

 

Since you are running SMP 3.0 SP04 you will need to manually move files over to the correct application directory after install.

 

If you are intending to configure Work Manager you would simply take the SAPWM-6.1.1.0.zip and extract to a temporary location and use that as the starting point by importing from there into the Editor and then publishing to your SMP3.0 server resulting in a development mode Work Manager.

 

In that case you would configure the Agentry.ini settings through the Management cockpit copying the needed values from the Agentry.ini in the zip into the cockpit.

SAP AII use SAP ITSmobile as standard mobile UI technology.

 

1- Where these standard UI are located/How to access them?

BRV Ans: This depends on which release of AII are you using. It can be /AIN/MOBILE1 or /AIN/MOBILE2.

 

2- What is Role/authorization required?

BRV Ans: Auto-ID Supervisor role "SAP_AIN_SUPERVISOR" is essential for accessing AII mobile UIs.

 

3- What is the Use/capability  of  Mobile UI  under SAP Auto-id Tools option?

BRV Ans: Using SAP AII standard Mobile UI transactions you can pack, load, unload, unpack,etc activities.(The list is big).

 

 

4- What to expect from the device for standard UI to work??

BRV Ans: Below are some pre-requisites that I copied from SAP help documentation... Refer(or search) to/for the link Integration with Mobile RFID Devices - Integration - SAP Library for further information.

 

 

Prerequisites

In order to integrate with mobile RFID devices, you must have the following hardware and software in place:

  • An SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure 7.1 device controller configuration entry for a mobile device
  • A mobile device equipped with:
    • WebBrowser (Framesets, JavaScript support)
    • Function keys (F1 to F10), an ENTER key, a trigger
    • RFID antenna with an API to control tag reading and writing
    • ActiveX controls or Java applets to connect to the RFID hardware
    • Permanent network connectivity, as this is an online mobile technology
