that's really strange because normally the control is handed over to the operating system and this system decides which application should be used to display the file on basis of its extension.
So could you please paste screenshots of your settings in DC30 for the used workstation application. Please made sure to upload screenshots of all submenus as well like "Define workstation application in network". Here I would recommend you to maintain entries with parameter %AUTO% %NO-LEAVE%.
In additional suggestion would be to check the settings in transaction DC20 for your maintained frontend types. Please made sure that you have maintained a short static path like C:\temp\ is maintained here.

Excel upload date format is like "41851"
Hello all! I have a problem with excel date in my program. When i upload date, like date format in excel it upload in my web dynpro like 41851 instead 7/31/2014. How can i solve this problem without changing date in excel?

ST02 table not found as buffered, but ST05 buffer traced
- activated table buffering in SE11 (for Z* table-view, generic buffering, 2 fields)
- then wrote ABAP test-program
- then traced with ST05 OK
(trace records are found: first select from DB, then read from Buffer)
but in ST02 the table is not showing at all
(Details Analysis Menu, Table buffers: Generic Key, Buffered Objects)
Do table-views not show up in ST02? or when/how do they show up?
Can I refresh the info? (the Refresh Button didn't help)
(this is a test system with only one Application Server - so I should be on the correct server)

Blank page when entering the portal after upgrade to 731 sp 16
Hi all,
After upgrade to 731 sp 16, we get a blank page when trying to access the portal. We are using theme designer tool but when we try with theme editor tool the issue is not reproduced. In the trace we can see following error:

java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.laf.bo.less.Theme.getRootURI() of a null object loaded from local variable 'theme'""
How we can fix this issue?

Ok, but if it is "Plnt" , but not "Plant" it is either a mistake, or there is a particular reason to be 4 letters only. In my language it is "Завд", when it shoud be "Завод" - also the vowel letter missing. Probably a 4 letters limit somewhere.

for displaying use a Text control and a formatter. In this JSBin see the second row with Label "Birthday 2" for an example.
If you use the DatePicker with editable ? "false" the label and the DatePicker are rendered at the top of the row and cause the DatePicker is higher than the label it does not look perfect.

Issue with NWBC 5.0 after updating SAP GUI 7.40 to PL5
Hi,
I'm facing a problem with NWBC 5.40 + SAP GUI 7.40 after updating SAP GUI to pach level 5. A problem occurs only on relatively old systems (NetWeaver 7.0 for example) and is as follows: after displaying trees (ALV Trees I guess) a tab is freezing and starts to constantly update - circle icon on tab header is blinking and I cannot push any button on toolbar or screen within this tab, I cannot also close this tab. New tab however opens without error until some trees have been displayed within it - and this tab is also freezing. To simulate an issue I simply run transaction SE84 directly after logon to the system, and tab freezes instantlyafter displaying a repository tree and it stops to responding.
SAP Logon itself works without the aforementioned problems.
How can I fix this issue?

Hi Thanks for your reply. But my sales order having two line item.
one line item having item category TAN.
Another one ZTNB . There is exit which put the sales order in delivery block in schedule line when saving the order.
But for this ZTNB item category line item sales order always gets stuck in MD04. We have checked in other system.
We have to remove it through the report SDRQCR21.
Do you have idea why this item category line item always gets stucked in MD04?

you get this message because SAP can technically not differentiate between an entered 0 and the default 0 for any numeric field, hence you have to flag the box for zero count. that is all, and that is what you did when the message about the book inventory came.
