SAP WebIDE and SAP Gateway connectivity fails after SAML configuration

Hi,

 

I am trying to connect and deploy FIORI extension app from sap WebIDE to SAP Gateway server. I am facing the attached error.

 

Any input would be helpful.

 

I have maintained correct setting in my destination folder.

 

Error:

 

Cannot deploy the application. Any entry for the UI5 BSP repository was not found in ABAP. Development tools discovery service. Install the nissing software components on your ABAP system.

 

We have SAP NW 7.4 SAP_UI 750 SP0000  (Attached components versions info). SAP help document says all required front end UI components are part of this 7.4 version no additional components are required. This was working earlier but stopped working after deploying the SAML components on SAP NW Gateway.

 

I am confused what causes to fail WebIDE connectivity after deploying the SAMl components on gateway server.

 

may this is not relevant but it is coincidence.

I find it somewhat difficult to understand your explanation of the business scenario (language barriers, structuring).

In case I got it completely wrong, please re-phrase it, so that it could be easily understood by non-native English speakers without prior knowledge of your client's business processes.

 

Your customer wishes to return some products, but before deciding what are the exact quantities to be returned physically to the plant, you have some quality inspection or approval process - is this correct? So this looks like a variation of advanced returns process.

From your explanation I understand that the DC just needs some report for authorized returns per product/location/price for KPI.

Why don't you simply create a simple report for the DC instead of trying to issue proformas etc. For now I see no reason why you would need that document. If you aim to capture the correct prices, creating a dummy billing with different payer for all returns in the plant may also produce inaccurate results. If you use ARM you can easily capture the correct quantities and prices for each separate order item (in case the standard ARM reports do not fulfill the business requirement).

Even if your client does not use ARM, he can still get the desired information via a report.

It could be that the company used the so-called consolidation proforma, because of the limited capabilities of their legacy system.

 

In the case of wholeseller return process - you can still get the needed data from the customer order items if you need it to issue credit memos for services to a wholeseller.

Y sabes si con una tabla dinámica podría quedar como el reporte nativo de SAP? Porque básicamente eso quieren pero automatizado, no quieren poner datos de manera manual.

 

A mi me parece un desperdicio del reporte de SAP pero así lo quieren en mi oficina.

Possibility to upgrade one Fiori Component selectively

Masayuki - please see below message. We recently installed Fiori in separate NWG and ECC6 systems. At the time, the frontend component version installed (For Report Quality Issue) was a SP level higher than the one supported by our associated backend SP version. We cannot upgrade our backend ECC6 SP level across the board without major work elsewhere, so we wanted to know if there was a way to selectively apply backend updates to ONLY that backend component. Our only other choice now would be to completely start over and rebuild the NWG server from scratch and install the lower SP F/E version (this would also be a lot of work as we have other (working) Apps there now too. Also, on a related question - we used the App Library and associated installation documentation (With the selected release dates). But this was NOT clear on the dependant versions as it said anything on SP5 or greater was OK - and its NOT). It looks to be read only file system and may be NFS too.

Please check if you are able to write using the user which initiates the back up.

Please ensure that there are no spaces between compress and next set of commands in the scripts.

Hello

 

As Pavan explained: you have "external" triggers (which can never be part of a SAP Software).

 

E.g.if regulation changed normally new docuemnts are generated (e.g. OEL values). If you use e.g. the SAP service (as SERC/SERD) then SAP checks these legal updated; prepare "content" and dispatch that to you. But this depends on your service agreement. Inside of SAP EHS some "subsequent" processes can be trigged; not all of them are "automatic"; most of them are manual work to do

Hi Ayoub,

 

Yes, there is a logic behind the selection of objects (functional locations) from the maintenance item and this is based on ABC indicator of functional locations.

 

No, the work order can be generated for all the objects in the maintenance item, but inspection lot should contain only functional locations which contain ABC indicator A.

Hi Everybody,

 

 

Do you know if exist any benchmarks test between ASE on Solaris ZFS vs ASE on Solaris UFS?

 

 

Which one is the best option for an ASE server with HA configuration?

 

 

I found the SAP note 1878876, and there it says UFS is better choice for performance, but on HA Configuration is the same consideration?

Hi Roman,

 

it is actually both. Within the D&B mashup (which you need to create) you can search for accounts and add them to C4C:

When doing this additional D&B related data is replicated to C4C like sales volume and employee count which is persisted on the account master. You can also match existing C4C accounts with D&B via the unique DUNS number.

This can have various root causes, Edison. Did you setup a proper reverse proxy and do you adress this RP in HCI? If so, can you see any traffic there?

this is currently not possible. The contact download is based on the "MyContacts" query in C4C. It is planned to configure the query used by the addin, however there is no release commitment as of now.

If there is any issue with your reports conversion, there is no other way than rewriting the reports as necessary. In the mean time, you can keep them as DESKI reports using DESKI Compaitlbilty pack.

 

Most of the cases report conversion should work.

While in Compositions, you should select the button to the right of Properties with the arrow pointing right, then you should have a Property Tree Popup, from there right click on the Property Tree and select Other Property Tree, there you will be able to choose which Property tree to search from.

 

Regarding And/Or this requires basic coding understanding, if you choose AND, then all of your selected options MUST be ticked for the report to show any results, OR means that only one of your selected inputs must be ticked for any results to show.

 

It doesn't seem that there is a possibility to search all property trees at the same time, however you should know which property trees you're looking for. If this is more of a general report that is required on a weekly or monthly basis, you might be better off attempting to create an ABAP report using the background tables to find where a specification is used.
