POSC+LOSC with process step VAS
Hello Experts,
I am working on a scenario where once we receive products, we move them to an intermediate location. From Intermediate location product is moved to VAS work center. Once VAS activity is complete products are moved to final location.
In SAP EWM when my INB del is received VAS order gets created. Once material is packed ,Warehouse task is created to move product from GR-ZONE to ID point. Other tasks are also created in waiting status for VS02 STEP to move product from ID point to VAS work center and for IB03 STEP to move to final putaway.
The moment I confirm first task to move product to ID point, system is cancelling task for IB03 step. This is very strange and I have no clue why it is happening. Please guide me.

I think it is not possible to execute an ABAP Report directly. But you can use a webdynpro CHIP with an IFrame. In the IFrame you can create an ITS-Url with the tags that execute a report.
The URL can look something like that:
http://<<domain>>:<<port>>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/?sap-client=xxx&sap-language=EN &~transaction=*SO10 RSSCE-TDNAME= TEST ; RSSCE-TDID= ST ; RSSCE-TDSPRAS= D ; DYNP_OKCODE= EDIT
It should also work with a classic report.

IMHO, it rather depends on who does the DS design 
.
DS is not a graphical tool at all, only DS Designer is. At runtime, "real" code is generated and executed. DS has been optimised for generating very efficient code, not always so easy to produce manually.

Delta Merge Duration

One of our Big table JVSO1 has performance issue during delta merges. We have 4 HANA nodes ( 4th being standby ). We did the table partition and spread across three nodes. So we have one partition on Hana1 node, 1 on Hana 2 node and 2 on Hana 3 node.
Whenever there is a Delta merge occurring on Hana1 node, we see lot of performance issues. Sometimes DB connections from our SLT and ECC servers gets timed out. Also the Delta merge time is higher for no of records compared to same in other nodes.
We have 40 CPU Cores on this host with processing power 2400 MHz. Hana1 is our Master node. I see the CPU bumped up to 100% during this period of time. How does system calculates as how many threads it allocates to Delta Merge Process
How do we start troubleshooting this issue?

By Looking at the screen picture you posted here, I think you have a situation described in OSS Note 2230508 - WDA UI: Too many events displayed.
We had a similar issue where some contents of Event lines are shifter to new lines. As note symptom described "They appear like incomplete copies of other, valid event entries." and I describe OER/EM on BOGO (Buy One Get One) promotion for events. Our issue was resolved with this OSS note implementation. If you decide to implement this note, pay close attention to pre-requisite notes and side-effects.

I have a scenario where I have got 2 files and each file has multiple records. Also there is a common field in both the files for each record. Please let me know if the same can be achieved via ccBPM and can it be achieved by message mapping.

I am not an expert but will share what I know :-).
Per the IRS documentation, employers do not have to cover part-time staff provided that they do not work more than 130 hrs in a month. I do not believe that a form is required for those part-time employees that are not covered for the entire year.
However, if you issue a 1095C you must have a code in line 14 for every month. Therefore, in our config we do not exclude our part-timers because we have many that move from Reg to Temp & vice versa.
A typical form for these types of employees will have 1E/2C for the months as a regular full time employee, and 1H/2B for the months they are part-timers working less than 130 hrs.
Instead of using Excluded we point them to PRT in the feature UBAIC. With this configuration, if they have no coverage (because they are part-time all year) then no form will be produced. If they do require a form because they have coverage for at least one month, then the codes 1H/2B will default as appropriate in the part-time months, and they will have 1E/2D or 1E/2C for their full-time months.

Question about default Fast Projection indexes

As far as i could understand, IQ (15.4) documentation states that all standard columns are in fact implemented as Fast Projection indexes.
My question is : Does Fast projection indexes allow a keyed (or range) look up over the data? Or, Does all searches of FP indexes traverse all bitmaps up to the end of the bitmap list (or all bitmaps since begining till the last value matching bitmap) ?
We are currently evaluating the need of an additional HG index on a IQ stage table which stores a great amount of analytical (atomic) data extracted and processed from the main warehouse tables. Those extractions are 'grouped' (not by GROUP BY, but each day for a given month, using BETWEEN ranges) by date and version and there should be no more than 10 groups/'extractions' of data in this table (and not more than 2 groups on the same day). The extraction not being used for some time and the ones which are 'correct' or 'final' are pruned from this table.
The issue is that the current effort to read each block of data (each month from day 1 to 31) is taking more time than expected (2 hours) on a
very capable server. (There is a join on the SELECT query, but its a simple one)
The table currently doesn't have a primary key or any additional index
The referred Date column is a datetime column, but the time information is being stored as 'zeroed' (00:00:00)
While checking about the need of addtional index(es) on this case with the current DBA in charge , we end up in doubt about creating a new HG index , since the cardinality for unique value for the given date column is not that big and the worst we could expect is about 3560 unique values (365 days x 10 years), and the amount of rows per day is about 6 million. The table does have about 180 columns ( I could positively guess that each 'row' is 4k wide)
We use to look for the most recent extraction, so, our current test environemnt have about 10 "extractions" from the last 5 months (2 per month - one 'original' and another one 'fixed').
We ran the query over Index Advisor, and so far it indeed recommended an HG or LF for both Date and Version columns, separately.
Also, given that there could happen more than one version per month, would a composite HG index be advisable?
And one last question. I have been looking over the following doc and its great bout talking about Fast Projection indexes. Is there any place where i could find details about physical layout for FP indexes ? The best info i could find about FP indexes are on the links or references below

The system tables for Multitenant Database's reside under SYS_DATABASES schema under the SYSTEMDB
You need to execute the below command by connecting to SYSTEMDB using the hdbsql command:
hdbsql -i <INSTANCE_NO> -n <SERVER NAME> -d SystemDB -u <USER_NAME> -p <PASSWORD>
USER_NAME should be assigned the roles to administer the backups
(for example SYSTEM or other user defined roles)
BACKUP CATALOG DELETE FOR SID ALL BEFORE BACKUP_ID <ID of specific BACKUP> COMPLETE (or WITH FILE or WITH BACKINT)
SID= tenant database
BACKUP_ID= the ID until which the backups need to be deleted

Content refresh failing due to missing datasource
Hello,
I am testing DM 10.1 for an upgrade from SP4 to SP5. Part of our test script involves testing the content refresh functionality.
I have a simple report with a single chapter and there is only one datasource in my config20 file (called DM-Dev). In the report, I connected to the server when selecting my datasource. On the Content refresh tab, DM recognizes that there is one briefingbook and the correct datasource. However, when I try to start the refresh, I get the error: Missing datasource DM-Dev in config20.xml. I have confirmed that the config20.xml file stored on the server has the DM-Dev datasource in it.
What step(s) have I missed?

Tried that, no dice. Also tried deleting the file from the dist folder and making it regenerate, but apparently that doesn't affect the SAP version. This Component-preload.js file just doesn't want to die.

Let me clarify this again - it actually works the other way round: HCP provides connectivity to any backend - either in the Internet or on-premises - over the currently supported protocols HTTP, Mail and RFC. This is all described on the pages linked above.

How to add "CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE" privilege in HDBROLE file?

I would like to know if there is a way to add the object privilege "CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE" to schema in design time role (HDBROLE). Because I have a stored proc which creates a local temporary table, now I need to create a role which allows using this SP. Meaning, allowing to create local temporary table.
Do you think that it is possible?
