And here is what I guessed earlier. The SAP XML creation program does not have any problem with creating the XML file even it has the special characters like pound sign, period, etc. in the address. The problem will be on the IRS receiving side. Here is the test XML generated in SAP:
What are y'alls plans to clean up the addresses?

P.S. Here is a nice test utility for the IRS regular expression I found (use at your own risk):
Free Online Regular Expression Tester - FreeFormatter.com
You can enter the string from the IRS PPT (see below as well) into the 'regular expression' field and then test your special characters that you have in the address records. Then you will now what you might have to clean up.

I do not know a possibility to show all tables and or views neither, if you find one let me know.
I work with the filter, in the Database tab and select for example all objects which start with my desired table (eg 'Z%')

We created universe based on HANA views (Analytical views). We had to use aggregate awareness.
Not sure if anyone is using this approach.

Okay. Let me try to explain the scenario.
1. I create a document A and then another document B to start with. Both will get created as master data and have status as 'DRAFT'.
2. Subsequently, I perform certain business processes on document A. Say, I create 4 records that has reference to document A. Currently, I perform some disaggregations required for those 4 records using the write back badi.
3. The disaggregated data is written to a custom infocube. At this point in time, my business requirement is that the status of the original document A which has been referenced in step 2 above should get changed from 'DRAFT' to 'POSTED'. So that the document A will be
1) Prevented from being used again for any other activity and 2) Various other reasons not relevant and hence unknown to me as of now.
-- So far, I attempted performing the disaggregation using WRITE BACK badi and it's getting saved in the cube as intended. But the status of the master data is not getting updated as POSTED. The data is not getting saved at all. I'm implementing if_uja_member_manager & if_uja_dimension_manager methods. On debugging, I found that the program is saving the record at some point in time and later marking as dirty record and reversing the changes made some where inside the standard code.

Meanwhile, Work Status & BPF is certainly food for thought for me. Quick question on Work Status - Is there a limitation on the number of different statuses that could be utilized? I am yet to gain information on these and just started digging based on your input.

BoH HANA - DBCON/DBACOCKPIT Connection to External Oracle Database

We have migrated ECC system from Oracle to HANA.
We are troubleshooting a database connection in HANA DBCON/DBACOCKPIT to our external Oracle database. We had the external database connection working before migration, but in HANA does not seem to connect to the external database. Details below.
We are able to connect to the remote database with tnsping from the HANA server following command, but going through SAP results in 12154 Error.

Problem with links in tables on IOS
I have an SAPUI5 app that has an issue with links used in rows in tables, but only when running on IOS browsers.
if you look at the table demo example Table - SAPUI5 Demo Kit , when you run this on something like IE or Chrome on a Windows desktop,the link www.sap.com works. Try it on IOS Safari, and the links do nothing.
My app uses the same logic, so it also fails with IOS.
If I use the sap.m.Link object instead of the commons one, the links still don't work with IOS Safari, but with IOS Chrome, I get an option to open in new tab etc...

Unable To see Planning Area in the Analytics Explorer

Please advice what can be the issue here due to which am not able to see the planning area and key figure here.

I did it with strategy C, B is technically possible with mixed storage in SAP, but it is not logical for a real warehouse where you can fill or empty the bin just from one side.

User for SAP HANA connection in BI 4.1
Dear Experts
I have a OLAP connection against HANA, the connection was working fine but the user that was set in the connection was removed from HANA studio (nobody knew) and now we are facing some issues to access the cubes.
I have setup another user but it doesn't work because I think that is missing to add some permissions to the user for HANA.
I am using pre-defined authentication and when I use SYSTEM user it works perfectly.
In this context, my questions are:
1. Is a good practice to set the SYSTEM user for these connections? I don't know if setting the SYSTEM user, I am having any security or any other issue in a future.
2. If Question 1 is no, What are the permissions that I have to add to the user from HANA Studio?
I look forward any suggestion,
