What do you mean by "requests compressed" ?
You said your source DSO was write optimized DSO? Write optimized DSO can keep data ONLY based on request number since request number is key field...other functional info objects are semantic key fields...you can't do anything over there.
If you try to get data from compressed cube, then you can ONLY compare by values like other experts advised - here you suppose NOT to compare your ourcome by request number..
Really sorry, I got little bit cofused here about your full requirements.
I'm not sure what might be causing the crash. If you have a reproduction, I suggest your open a support incident to address the crash.
On thing you might look at is the adslocal.cfg file. Compare the two between the one folder and the other. Potentially edit the file and set the error log path to make sure it is a path writable by the user. Once set, if the application still crashes check the error logs (ads_err.adt / ads_err.dbf) to see if any additional errors are logged that may help in understanding the crash.

We do currently have config set so that request of cart receives notification when cart is approved, however in our RFx scenario the Buyer is not the requester, they receive the cart as first approver when it's RFx relevant ( zero dollar value ). From here they submit for RFx once RFx response is received they update price and approve.
I was looking for an email to buyer (purchasing group) assigned to cart once cart approved, but only for RFx carts.... we will look into event and event schema for alert management to see if we can define this in a schema..
For initial deployment we are going to have the buyers go to Sourcing query to monitor Approval of RFx carts, and once cart status is Approved they can Accept RFX and issue PO.
I'm wondering if you have experienced any issues concerning Carts with RFX being approved prior to buyer updating price based on Rfx response.
I can see the potential of buyer requesting RFx, cart proceeds on approval routing & get's approved prior to price update based on RFX. At this point the buyer can then no longer update price.
Have you see this scenario ? is there any way to prevent cart going to Approved status when RFx response / price update is still pending ?

How can I get the BP Catalog number to show up on the Packing Slip? If I check "Print BP catalog number in Documents" this causes it to show up on the Invoice, or I can select the OSCN database to get the information on the Invoice. However, the OSCN database is not available to select in the PLD for Packing Slips.

I know for sure that since BOXI3.1 SP4, "Cookie-based session affinity. BusinessObjects Enterprise Web Services now support cookie-based session affinity for load balancing environments" is added. However, I could not locate the ADAPT for this new feature and if this is been incorporate to BI4.1?

We have a different problem and the solution is not very apparent right now. When we maintain an existing Stock Transport Order and use the Document Overview feature in ME22N (where we drop an Item from the Document Overview to the Shopping Cart), we eventually lose our Shipping Tab (and the corresponding EKPV record) for the STO Item created using this functionality. Here is a scenario:
1. I create an STO (7777777) with the same two items (Material A Item 10 and 20) from Supplying Plant 100 to Plant 888 with ME21N for 4/1/2014 and 4/2/2014 delivery. The Shipping Tab is created for both items. 
2. I maintain the above STO (7777777) and add another item (Material A Item 30) to Plant 888 with NE22N for 4/3/2014 Delivery. The Shipping Tab is created.
3. I turn on Document Overview, while maintaining the above STO (7777777), Click on the selection variant, select Purchase Orders, and the Purchasing Documents screen appears with my STO next to "Purchasing Document". I click on the Execute button, receive a list of two STO's (both 7777777), click on the first STO and drop the STO into the Shopping Cart. Save the STO and the Shipping Tab appears (Item 40) after receiving the message "Stock transport ord. 7777777 changed".
4. In the command line, I type /OME23N to view a new copy of the STO 7777777. This time, Item 40 has no Shipping Tab. If I use SE16N to view the EKPV records for EBELN = 7777777, I find that only Items 10, 20, and 30 are present in the Table - NO EKPV record for Item 40.
Does anyone have a clue what is happening here? We have a number of SAP Enhancements turned on and initially thought SAP Enhancement MM06E005 (Customer Fields in Purchasing Document) - EXIT_SAPMM06E_012 (Check Customer Specific Data Before Saving) - INCLUDE ZXM06U43 - was to blame, but we can bypass all of this code and the Document Overview still bypasses the Shipping (EKPV) information in ME22N.

My source is a csv file and target is multiple idocs.
Source file structure is as follows:
Header (field 1, field 2, ........ field 10)
Item 1a (field 1, field 2, field 3, ......... field 180)
Item 1b (field 1, field 2, field 3, ......... field 180)
Item 2a (field 1, field 2, field 3, ......... field 180)
Item 2b (field 1, field 2, field 3, ......... field 180)
.
.
.
Item na (field 1, field 2, field 3, ......... field 180)
Item nb (field 1, field 2, field 3, ......... field 180)
First line is header. Second is VAT line. Third is Price line for that VAT. Now VAT and Price lines repeat. There need not be VAT line for non-European countries. So a VAT line may or may not preceed a Price line.
For example: the lines can be like:
Header
VAT1
Price1
VAT2
Price2
Price3
1) Now, it should produce 3 idocs like:
Header, VAT1, Price1
Header, VAT2, Price2
Header, Price3
2) One idoc should be created per a pair of VAT and Price lines and they will be identified by a co-relation of a particular field. So first I have to sort all the lines based on this field value. Then I have to read the lines in pairs. If no Vat line, I should just read the Price item and produce an idoc.
Can you please help me with the java code for this?

Please, adjust the call of GET_COMPONENT_LIST by passing not the internal table to import parameter FIELDNAME, but the string value containing the name of the internal table. The simplest way here would be to put internal table's name in quatation marks:
