Why do you need to register to SCN to read the content?  My assumption is that you want as many readers as possible to view your content - including individuals who aren't SCN members.

 

Your blog doesn't even appear in the list of content for that section of SCN.

 

I'm a registered user and still can't access it. I only know of its existence from an email that I receive when new content is published in the Cloud section of SCN.

 

I'd like to refer to your document in an upcoming blog and that currently isn't possible because it isn't publicly available.

Thanks for your quick response.

 

I checked in swi1  but it is showing "no entry exists"

I have done all basic settings using PFTC and OOCU_RESP tcode but still it is not working.

is there any other customizing that is needful??

Hi Gennaro,

 

I'm sorry I don't understand the question.

 

To get a Total Count, you just need to insert a summary on a field and choose 'Count' as the summary operation.

From the log it seems to be a Kernel Error ! From T Code SM50 you might get some hint what is wrong at that place. check below link

You can also discuss the same with the BASIS team on this .

In order to avoid any extra coding I have searched that I can make fields mandatory through account groups in tcode shd0. But I can't seem to find the Comment field in general data, please guide me as to where is this field available in the account group.

You could simply exclude the execute button, like this:

 

at selection-screen output.   perform disable_online_execution.
form disable_online_execution.   DATA lt_excl TYPE TABLE OF sy-ucomm.   APPEND :     'ONLI' TO lt_excl,     'PRIN' to lt_excl.   CALL FUNCTION 'RS_SET_SELSCREEN_STATUS'        EXPORTING             p_status  = sy-pfkey        TABLES             p_exclude = lt_excl.
endform.

With this code, the button "Execute" is switched off,  the menu paths "Execute" / "Execute and print" will be inactive, and the function key shortcuts to these fcodes are surpressed as well.

 

Better than offering a button and then shooting at the user with an error "HAHA, NOT ALLOWED!" when he presses it, is not to offer the button from the beginning.

Travel - "Save", "Save & Send" not working in ESS

Hi All,

 

We are at EHP 5, recently updated latest patches. In ESS - Travel management when employee submitting Travel request it is fine until the last step. In the last step when user click Save, request not saving, and "Save & send" also not working. No error message.

 

Please note that it is working for all companies except one company.

 

Any idea?

Hey. this is good news but there would be a reason why it was decommissioned. Right?

May be becoz it is running on outdated version or something. So, when it is restored, will it be running on same version? How long will it be active? I am just trying to analyse if this solution can help in every generalized case.

HI Suman,

 

I am not adding the report to favourite using browser favourite. Below is the flow:

  1. Run the report in portal.
  2. There is a 'Save As' button at the top of the report. When I click that button, I get a pop-up with 3 tabs  for saving the report.:
      • Favourite
      • BEx Portfolio
      • My Portfolio
  3. save the report in the favorites or BEx portfolio tab and then open it and press 'Send' button
  4. BEx Broadcaster Wizard should appear but instead of that, it shows '400 BAD HTTP REQUEST'.
  5. If I press send for unsaved report, then BEx broadcaster Wizard is shown.

Hi Ananth,

 

It is not possible to restrict the user from doing CTRL + C function as there is no provision to avoid the CTRL+C function on TEXT VIEW or any other ui elements texts.

@shankar/malyadri: I had discussed regarding the Configuration in SPRO with my HR consultant, he told that is not configuring anything under SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Employee Self Service (Webdynpro ABAP).

 

Even though i am portal consultant i am looking into the ESS/MSS configuration part..

Till now i have done SSO, SLD configuration,Activated the services SICF and acitvated the BFunctions in SFw5,Created the Custom Lpad, but i didnt do anything in the SPRO(Do i need to do any config under node SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Employee Self Service (Webdynpro ABAP) as part of ESS/MSS config ).

 

Is their anyother configuration  i need to do as part of ESS/MSS configurations??

please suggest me if i am wrong..

yes, but in that case you have to be very careful while executing packages. for eg, if you have executed a bpl package to transfer fico data and then if you execute a time based reduction package in the same landscape so it will delete all existing data in target system before bringing new data. So, plan you landscape and package activities accordingly. I would suggest you to go through all how-to-documents, master guide, and application operation guide on service market place to have a better understanding of how tdms works.
