You can usethe userprincipalname to mangae the portal logons, however from there to the backend you can use attribute mapping. Ask them to create a new attribute sapID and then setup user mapping.
That should work. I have implemented such a scenario on many occasions:

It is not necessary to import the JP language package because it only contains the SAP standard texts. For smartform you have to add your own translation via SE63 for JP version.
You mentioned that the JP characters are displayed in preview so the language key and the
translation might be correct. You should try to use a cascading font device type like SWINCF to see
if the PDF is OK.

Hey..just to share so that if anyone else faces can check this solution that worked for me, I also faced the exact same issue but got it resolved by below activity.
> Get the Administrator password from Domain Controller
> Get in the system where you want to install.
> Goto "Groups" and open Administrator
> Add DOMAIN\Administrator in that group and restart the installation from scratch with the mentioned string.
> Also if you want can add the same account in SAP_SID_GlobalAdmin & SAP_SID_LocalAdmin groups too.
So when I added the domain admin as Admin in my host I was allowed to continue with the installation again.

i am having scenario that is IDOC to FILE scenario, this scenario there is new Z-segment added in Idoc side, so this new Z-segment it was not populate my PI message mapping.can you please help me out this issue. here i have some open point,
1.Can i import Idoc metadata in PI system using IDX2 and trigger the Idoc does in populate in Pi message mapping.
2.import idoc from ECC to Pi system, is there any option PI side to populate these new Z-segment.I don't want to mess with my mapping ,this existing mapping i want to add these new Z-segments and send along with old message mapping.
because this my production interface we need to do these new Z-segment mapping and send to prod, can you please give your valuable suggestion this is needs to be urgent.

I’ve researched the possibility to put 2 report systems to the same BOXI Servers with separated services.
Background:
Currently, I have 2 BO systems. Both of them are BOXI 3.1. SP5 and have their own web (Says Web1 and Web2) and BO servers (App1 and App2).
Current Environment
System1: Web 1 and BO App1
System 2: Web 2 and BO App2

Since both of them are BO, I need to put these 2 systems together to beneficial on licensing cost and maintenance.
Bo: CommonApp (App1 and App2 stay together here)
Web for System1: Web1 (no change)
Web for System2: Web 2 (no change)

Condition : I need to separate BO services (i.e., servers) since downtime of both app are different.
