RELIABLE AMONG DELIVERY UNIT AND DEVELOPER MODE

Hi Friends,

 

I work on HANA studio and I have 2 HANA Environments on AWS, say DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION

 

Based on my knowledge I can Transport the CONTENT between the 2 Environments( DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION) by using following

 

Methods:

 

1. DELIVERY UNIT

 

2.DEVELOPER MODE(File--> Export/Import-->Dev mode)

 

 

  • By using DELIVERY UNIT we can Transport Multiple Packages at a time in between  2 Environments but I can't select Specfic view indidually for movement.

 

  • But By using DEVELOPER MODE we can  select and  TRANSPORT Specific Views   & Packages  between  DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.


  • Also we do the TRANSPORT using DEVELOPER MODE option and they get mported in Inactive state I need to activate the views again in the 2nd Environment.


 

Now if i have 20 Views in XYZ Package in both DEV AND PROD ENVIRONMENTS and in DEV if I added 2 New

 

Views in the XYZ package  and i want to Transport  it to the Corresponding  Prod .


1. I can do it  this using the Develpor mode option.But is  this reliable/best way of doing it?

 

2. Is there a Way in selecting only these 2 VIEWS to DELIVERY UNIT without adding the Entire Package.(To prevent OVERWRITING)

Webdynpro ABAP iview alignment issue in External Facing Portal

Hi All,

 

We have implemented External facing portal for our client and we have Webdynpro ABAP iview which is POWL but, when we open it from external portal the alignment of the application is totally gone. Please find the below screenshot. I have tested it with both AJAX Framework Page and Default Frameworkpage.

Thanks for your response.

Sincere apologies for picking an old thread for asking this question.

 

I have not reactivated but redeployed all the depending views. (Since it is in Production , I have not yet reactivated, Let me know if you want me to try this as well )

 

Based on that number COL13, I was checking for the 13th and 14th ( If the counting has started from COL0 ) and checked the data types and all the source columns, data types are SECONDDATE.

 

Have checked the indexserver traces but no additional information I found there as well.

 

The pseudocode of the CV:

 

SELECT <columnlist> FROM (
SELECT <columnlist> FROM TABLE1 <filtercondtions>
UNION ALL
SELECT <columnlist> FROM TABLE1 <filterconditions>)

 

The pseudo code for Procedure:

 

Insert into TARGET TABLE (select <columnlist> from CV)

 

The same procedure (full load)  was working fine in Quality system but failing inconsistently in Production system.
Upon failure, when we repeat the procedure job it is getting successful again.

 

Let me know if I need to share anyother additional information

Hi Sumantra,

 

Check in FBN1 for the fiscal year for the co.code, whether have you maintained no.ranges for that year. If not, you have to run OBH2 to copy the no.ranges to the year.

in query 1 Fiscal Period is mandatory and in 2 query i want to pass query 1 variable in query 2.

Hello

 

Just check again if your custom class has following interfaces included in Interface tab

 

BI_OBJECT

BI_PERSISTENT

IF_WORKFLOW

 

Just go in each of methods of above interfaces and activate. You dont have to code in anything in these methods if you are not using the Class as Workflow Object instance. Looks like your class is just a class that will be used for static methods for workflow

 

If so, just add a static Public method and activate the Class .

In the accept field you are giving your system's IP address,right? And the same is applicable for the Host Field in CMC.

SMERP 610_700 with Support Package 04

 

Now we attend our sap basis team to install sap note 2141203, to complete sync with agentry.

Dear all,

 

We want to activate the Embedded Search on our backend Fiori system (ERP/HANA)

Following the OSS notes and the Help, I found two task lists to run in the client.

 

In the client 000

SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_000_CLIENT

--> note we need to specify the client for the embedded search

 

and in the "work" client

SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_WRK_CLIENT

 

The question is that we actually have two clients:

100 which is the Gold Client where we have all the customizing.

200 where we have the data

 

The question is: which client we need to specify? Make it sense to select the client 200 for both.

Could you please advice?

Hi Sudipta,

 

It is not recommended to set the values in POST_SAVE Event, changes will not reflect to the opened document. Moreover this event occurs when all the vaidation is done and doc is saved in the DB.  Try to move your code to Validate event script and check. It should work.

Hi Sam,

 

As mentioned, It seems that another service running on your host with the default port(6001),

 

Change the Wily EM server port in IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.properties (EMHome/config) file and the parameter

 

introscope.enterprisemanager.port.channel1=6001

 

to any other port as (Ex:6051).

Hi Sk,

 

in the PCR XO10 is for create valuation basis for addition for example you have a basic wage type called m010 with the amount 1000 in it.

 

this X010 PCR will add the 1000 amount in to secondary wage types /001 and /002, then in the following X013 PCR daily rate and hourly rate will be calculated.

 

so the amount 1000 will be divided for hourly and daily basis, so that value will be stored in /001 and /002.

 

you will have to go through the log of payroll one by one.. you will surely understand.. experts are helping us in a great way by providing examples so try to understand as much as you can.

Hi Vrushali,

 

Yes, if you create a view with selective columns from the IQ base table, it must be positive for performance.

But, the number of rows being returned for queries against the view depends on the predicates specified.

 

And, as for the expressions I said, I meant this.

 

Create view sample_view

AS

Select c1, c2, c3 from t1

union all

Select c1, c2, min(c3, 0) from t2

union all

Select c1, c2, c2*0.3 from t3

;

 

The view like above style having those expressions prevents IQ optimizer from processing the query with the optimal performance. To my knowledge, it's impossible for the IQ optimizer to execute it with a split group by.

So, it would be better to avoid the view definition like above.
