We use 3 kind of communication to connect ECC (i.e. IDOC,RFC,Proxy). Can someone help me what the difference between them and which scenario we use those adapter ?

Actually, the whole thing is irrelevant, because it is impossible to use probing path with a shared directory outside of application path.

So, we shall, probably, just use codepade part of the config file and change the codepage directory automatically on start up.

Hi Rajit,

 

Popups unless stated otherwise are in the size the OS decides to open them, since like you said there is no place to adjust the size for the help url iview you will need to change it in the template for URL iview.

 

Check under the templates folder in your portal and change the window features for the URL template, this will affect all URL iViews who did not define height and width.

Hi Satya,

 

The value for field 3 given in the screenshot is an example, and it is variable. I need to restrict on the variable value of field 3 on cube 1 to select cube 1's KF1, KF2, KF3 and also use KF4 KF5 KF6 for the respective Field 3 value where it matches for both cube 1 and cube 2. Thanks

Hello Experts,

 

I am having one requirement to read inactive data in MDG-S i.e. country key, now as per BP data model  Country key is maintained as type 3 entity named as "AD_CNTRY" and for type 3 we dont have generated structures,  but in generated structures we have one structure of type 4 named as "AD_NAME_P" which is having one  country field named as REFNAMEP.

 

Now, my concern is till now I am reading the data through read_char_value method by passing the entity type as an input and reading all inactive data but how can I read the country key in this scenario.

 

 

Any useful help will be rewarded.

Hi everybody !

 

 

My requirement is to add fields and custom checks on transaction IB51.

After a few searches I figured the only way to achieve that  (apart from requiring access keys for all standard objects) is to use the Easy Enhancement Workbench.

 

We run on EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0.

 

When I try to use the transaction to create an extension, I can only choose from 3 Business Objects ( BUPA, BUPR, RELTYPE )  and I can't find the IBASE Business object as I've seen it on several tutorials in here.

 

- I noticed the subject was always discussed under CRM topics :  is there a CRM associated component required to use EEWB on IBASE ? We already use Installed Bases in our production processes so I assumed every associated enhancement components would be installed on the system.

 

- Is there another way to enhance IB51 behavior appart from using EEWB ?

Hi Experts,

 

I am facing a BDOC middleware issue.

 

The story is generally we create Sales order in CRM which is replicated to ECC.

 

Some time the user changes the sales order in ECC the same is replicated to CRM.

 

In this case when the user tries to change the division for one of the Item of sales order in ECC and saves it. A Bdoc is triggered to CRM but the data is not updated in CRM no error messages appears in the CRM Inbound (SMQ2) .

 

Then soon an outbound (SMQ1) BDOC queue is generated in CRM side for that sales order and it keeps on creating infinity queue entries for the same order. This action causes a continuous update to the sales order from CRM to ECC which resets the values of the division in ECC with the previous division of CRM.

 

Since so many outbound bdoc entries are created continuously the sales order in CRM is always in distributed status.

 

Now I want to stop the multiple entries being generated automatically in CRM outbound queue (SMQ1) for the sales order when I save the sales order in ECC.

 

I am new to SAP CRM Middleware. Please I need your expert advice.

Hello Dawood,

BDLS shows no errors for the latest run in transaction SLG1, we already checked, but in this case the original system (e.g. DEV) and not the logical system (e.g. DEVCLNT100) is the information involved. In TADIR all objects have the correct information in SRCSYSTEM field

Hi experts,

 

We are running an SMP 3.0 SP07 installation.

 

Thinking of failures that may occur in our landscape, we are thinking what happens if the SMP server logs fill up very quickly that prevents us for tracking an issue.

An example to illustrate:

The load on the system is big and fills up in a day (we have the default configuration with 20MB size logs a total of 13 files, older is overwritten).

An issue occurs e.g. memory that fills the logs with a specific error but not the route cause of the failure. In that case, we need to search further back maybe 2-3 days so we can find the root cause of the failure.

 

Here comes the question of archiving. I a aware that most SAP systems have the same configuration for logs, although these are then archived for a period of 30/90 days on a separate location.

Is this the same on SMP 3.0 and how can someone enable it?

 

Have any of you implemented something like that in your installation?

 

 

I was thinking implementing a script that will copy the log files over to another location but i was wondering whether there is a standard procedure that i am not aware of.

I would like to transmit a file to a remote web site using HTTP call atom and the post method.

 

Anyone knows what has to be set in the payload?

 

it is the file in a binary format or the file path (returns an error for me)?
